One thing is for certain……
| The 37th Kingswood
will still be around! We’ll be entering our 38th
year in a healthier position than ever before. We now
have a corps with a very young average age and a flourishing
Cadet unit to keep the new recruits rolling in for many
years to come. The signs are that we’ll be even
bigger in 2006. We have very few age outs, so with another
batch of cadets ready to step up for the new season,
the return of some ex-members after university breaks
and DCI trips, etc along with a number of enquiries
from potential new members, we’ve every chance
of making a substantial increase in membership. |
 |
We joined the DCUK association circuit for the first time
in 2000 and achieved an excellent sixth place in Open
Class. We are now well established in Open Class and we’ll
be going all out to build on that in the future. Our Cadet
Corps won the Cadet Class title in their debut season
in 2000 and have remained within the top three ever since.
In 2005 they triumphed again; taking the Cadet Class title
while smashing the DCUK record points score by a Cadet
corps. |
 |
Considering we’ve
got one of the biggest combined membership of any UK corps
and a large team of very talented, experienced and enthusiastic
instructors, the future looks very bright for our organisation.
So what does all this mean? Whether it’s a young
person who would like to find out just how enjoyable and
rewarding musical performance can be, someone looking
for a band to perform at an event they are organising,
or an |
organisation looking for
a particularly worthy cause to support, then they need
look no further. The 37th Kingswood is just what you’ve
been looking for!!!
